The Office of Senator-elect Adam Schiff is seeking a Press and Digital Assistant. The ideal candidates will be highly-motivated, detail-oriented, excellent writers, proactive and work well in a team environment. Candidates should be willing to take on any task in a fast-paced and busy communications office.

Primary Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, compiling and distributing clips, drafting and distributing press and communications materials, distributing press materials and managing the flow of communications to the press team, managing the press lists, and other press-related tasks as assigned. Candidates will be required to clip and edit videos, assist on digital partnerships, manage the website, and draft social media posts across platforms – all on tight turnarounds. Candidates should want to both leverage the Senator-elect’s existing platform and expand it. Digital and video editing, and photograph skills are a major plus.
Necessary Qualifications
Prior experience of 1-2 years in congressional offices, the executive branch, and/or campaigns is required. California ties and language skills (particularly Spanish) are a plus and should be noted.
Salary:
This is a full-time in-person position. Salary begins at $55,000. This position is eligible for all Senate employee benefits. Senator-elect Schiff’s office is an equal opportunity employer.
